At Divine Path Journey, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines our cancellation and refund terms for all Chardham Travel Package. We believe in fair and transparent policies, and we honor these terms for every booking.

Cancellation by Customer

If you need to cancel your booking, the refund amount depends on how early you inform us before your scheduled departure date:

📌 Example Calculation

Scenario: You booked a Chardham package for ₹80,000 (4 people) and paid ₹20,000 advance (25%). You need to cancel 20 days before departure.

Cancellation Window: 15-29 days before departure

Policy: 50% of advance payment refunded

✅ Your Refund: ₹10,000 (50% of ₹20,000 advance)
âš ī¸ Less than 7 Days Cancellation While no cash refund is available, your full payment amount can be used as credit for a future booking within 6 months. This credit is transferable to family members.

Date Change Policy

If you want to change your travel dates instead of cancelling completely:

  • First date change: FREE if requested 15+ days before original departure
  • Additional date changes: ₹500 per change
  • Date change within 7 days: Treated as cancellation (above policy applies)
📋 Important Notes
  • Date changes are subject to vehicle and hotel availability
  • If new dates have higher package rates (peak season), the price difference must be paid
  • If new dates have lower rates, no refund for the difference

Cancellation Due to Weather / Road Closure

Mountain roads and temple access can be affected by weather, landslides, or government orders. We understand this is beyond anyone's control.

✅ If trip cannot proceed due to:
  • Road closure by government authorities
  • Natural disaster (landslide, flood, earthquake)
  • Temple closure by temple committee
  • Pandemic or health emergency restrictions
  • Government curfew or restrictions

Your Options

  • Option 1: Full rescheduling to new dates within 12 months (no extra charge except peak season difference)
  • Option 2: Refund of all payments minus actual expenses already incurred

What are "Actual Expenses"?

These are non-recoverable costs we may have already paid:

  • Non-refundable hotel advance bookings
  • Vehicle booking advances
  • Permit fees already paid to authorities
  • Any other vendor advances made for your trip

We will provide an itemized breakdown of any deductions from your refund.

Cancellation by Divine Path Journey

In rare cases where we need to cancel (vehicle breakdown with no replacement available, health emergency of assigned driver, etc.):

  • 100% full refund of all payments made
  • We will first try to offer alternative arrangements (different vehicle/driver)
  • Refund processed within 7 working days

How to Request Cancellation

  1. Contact Us Call or WhatsApp us at +91-8057591078, or email [email protected] with your booking details and reason for cancellation.
  2. Receive Cancellation Form We will send you a simple cancellation confirmation form via WhatsApp or email.
  3. Confirm Cancellation Reply with your confirmation. We will calculate refund amount based on this policy.
  4. Receive Refund Confirmation We will confirm the exact refund amount and expected timeline in writing.
  5. Refund Processed Refund initiated within 3 working days of confirmation. You'll receive transaction details.

Note: Bank processing times may vary. If refund is delayed beyond these timelines, please contact us.

No-Show Policy

If you do not show up on the departure date without prior cancellation notice:

❌ No-Show Consequences
  • No refund will be provided
  • Amount cannot be used as credit for future bookings
  • We incur full costs when you don't show up

Please inform us even for last-minute cancellations. We may be able to offer partial credit.

Partial Trip Cancellation

If you leave the trip midway after it has started (for any reason including personal emergency, health issues, or personal choice):

  • No refund for unused portion of the trip
  • Any extra expenses for separate return travel to be borne by you
  • We will assist in making arrangements for your return, but costs are yours
💡 Recommendation We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip interruption, medical emergencies, and emergency evacuation. This protects you financially if you need to leave the trip early.
