Welcome to Divine Path Journey. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (divinepathjourney.com) and the booking of our Chardham Travel Package.

By booking any package with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Booking Process

  • Submit an inquiry through our website, WhatsApp, or phone call
  • Receive a detailed quotation with inclusions and exclusions
  • Confirm booking by paying 25% advance
  • Receive booking confirmation with itinerary within 24 hours

2.2 Payment Schedule

  • Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS)

🔒 Payment Security All payments must be made to official Divine Path Journey bank accounts only. We will provide verified bank details after you request a booking. Never pay to personal accounts without verification.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Cancellation by Customer

If you need to cancel your booking, refunds will be processed as follows:

15-29 days before departure 50% of advance payment
7-14 days before departure 25% of advance payment
Less than 7 days No refund (credit for future booking valid 6 months)

3.2 Cancellation Due to Force Majeure

If the trip cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our control:

  • Natural disasters (landslides, floods, earthquakes)
  • Road closures by government authorities
  • Temple closures due to weather or other reasons
  • Pandemic-related restrictions
  • Civil unrest or government orders

In such cases, we offer:

  • Full rescheduling to alternative dates (valid for 12 months), OR
  • Refund of payment minus actual expenses already incurred

3.3 Refund Timeline

  • Refunds processed within 7-10 working days
  • Credited to original payment method
  • Bank transfers may take additional 3-5 days to reflect

4. Date Change Policy

  • First date change: Free if requested 15+ days before departure
  • Subsequent changes: ₹500 per change
  • Subject to vehicle and hotel availability for new dates
  • Price difference payable if new dates have higher rates
  • Date changes within 7 days of departure treated as cancellation

5. Package Inclusions & Exclusions

5.1 Typically Included

  • AC vehicle (Tempo Traveller for 8+ pax / Innova for 4-6 pax)
  • Experienced driver with hill driving experience
  • Hotel accommodation (sharing basis as per package)
  • Daily breakfast and dinner (vegetarian)
  • All parking, toll, and state permits
  • Driver's allowance, fuel, and vehicle expenses

5.2 Typically NOT Included (Extra Cost)

  • Pony, Palki, or Doli at Yamunotri and Kedarnath treks
  • Lunch and personal expenses
  • Tips and gratuities
  • Travel insurance
  • Medical expenses
  • Anything not specifically mentioned in package inclusions

6. Traveler Responsibilities

As a traveler, you agree to:

  • Carry valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID/Driving License)
  • Travelers above 60 years must carry a medical fitness certificate
  • Inform us of any medical conditions that may affect travel
  • Follow instructions of driver and guide for safety
  • Maintain discipline and respect local customs at religious sites
  • Be punctual at all pickup points to avoid delays for the group
  • Carry adequate warm clothing for high-altitude areas
  • Not consume alcohol or non-vegetarian food during the journey

7. Our Responsibilities

Divine Path Journey commits to:

  • Provide clean, well-maintained, and insured vehicles
  • Engage experienced drivers familiar with mountain roads
  • Arrange accommodation as per package description
  • Provide accurate information about itinerary and conditions
  • Assist with Chardham registration process (government requirement)
  • Provide emergency contact available during the trip
  • Handle reasonable complaints and issues promptly

8. Limitation of Liability

Divine Path Journey shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury, death, or property damage except due to our proven negligence
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
  • Delays, cancellations, or route changes due to weather, road conditions, or force majeure
  • Actions or negligence of third-party service providers (hotels, pony operators, etc.)
  • Temple closure or restricted darshan due to crowd or temple committee decisions
  • Altitude sickness or other health issues arising during the trip
âš ī¸ Travel Insurance Recommendation We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and personal belongings.

9. Itinerary Changes

We reserve the right to modify the itinerary due to:

  • Weather conditions making roads unsafe
  • Road closures or landslides
  • Temple closure announcements
  • Safety concerns as assessed by our team
  • Government orders or restrictions

In such cases, we will provide suitable alternatives where possible. No refund is provided for itinerary changes due to circumstances beyond our control.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website including text, images, logos, and designs are owned by Divine Path Journey. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through mutual discussion
  • If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to arbitration in Dehradun
  • Courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand shall have exclusive jurisdiction
  • The arbitration shall be conducted in English or Hindi

12. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
